We recommend spraying your garment with Tana 16 (always use a non-silicon
based spray – do not spray your garment with a leather footwear
protector).
Small natural flaws in the leather can be worked with your fingers
to minimize; the natural oils in your skin when rubbed into the garment
work to buff the leather.
If
your leather garment gets wet, hang to dry on a padded hanger in a
well ventilated area.
If your suede or shearling garment gets wet, hang to dry and once
dry, use a clean wash-cloth (no fabric softener in it) to brush the
suede against the nap.
Clean
your leather garment periodically with clean damp cloth.
Soil
marks on suede and shearling garments can be removed as follows: sprinkle
baking soda on the mark, leave for 24 hours and brush clean.
Store
your leather garment in a fabric bag, not plastic, as the garment
needs to “breathe”.
Do not store in or near direct sunlight.
Dry
clean, only when absolutely necessary, using a reputable leather/suede
cleaner such as Suedemaster.
